Inch x Inch : small things can make a big difference
On display at Primary Gallery
Opening Reception: Friday 3/4 6-10 p.m.
Indianapolis, IN, February 16, 2016 – Primary Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition featuring a collection of whimsical and imaginative one-inch buttons created for Inch x Inch. A monthly button club that benefits youth art education programs for the underprivileged, Inch x Inch was founded by Indianapolis natives and designers Bob Ewing and Drew Hill. The two designers were compelled to ensure others are given the same opportunities they once had and began Inch x Inch as a passion project.
Every month, Inch x Inch partners with top-rated artists and creatives to donate their designs to be featured on a series of three buttons that are sold to button club members world-wide. Inch x Inch strives to make the most impact out of every button club membership and has 65% of the proceeds donated to Art with a Heart and 826Chi. Art with a Heart encourages Indianapolis youth through art by providing hands-on visual arts experiences that educate and inspire at-risk children. 826Chi is a Chicago-based nonprofit writing and tutoring center that is dedicated to supporting students with their creative and expository writing skills and teachers with skills to inspire their students to write.
