Primary Colours Presents Indiana’s Emerging Artists
On display at Circle South Gallery February, 2017
Opening Reception: Friday 2/3 6-10 p.m.

Primary Colours proudly partners with Circle South Gallery to present the artwork of Erin Case and Jessica Schultz in this multi-artist show. The artists featured in the exhibit are currently earning their Fine Arts degrees. As an organization that strives to assist local artists in the Indianapolis community, Primary Colours is proud to support the emerging artists and provide a professional learning experience as they graduate into the local art scene.

Erin Case is currently earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics at the Herron School of Art and Design and previously has studied Graphic Design at North Central Ivy Tech. Looking to expose her inner emotional spectrum, Case creates art that plays off of her anxieties and mental state of mind. Case combines influences from her personal childhood art with references to classical Roman sculpture in order to create art that reflects her singular experiences that becomes an element in the pluralism in the heritage of art.

Jessica Schultz is currently earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting with a minor in Art History from the Herron School of Art and Design as a Joseph L. Van Sickle Scholar. Through her artwork, Schultz explores the duality between intimacy and isolation, fantasy and reality, and security and vulnerability. By experimenting with contrasting textures of silk, newsprint, and canvas, Shultz strives to blur the lines between these dualities.
