We've Moved
Get ready for a lot more Primary Colours in your life because we’ve moved to hoppin’ Fountain Square!
Our new headquarters is a cozy corner office on the second floor of the Murphy Arts Center (Suite 217), right above Red Lion Grog House.
The new space comes with a shared gallery, Mt. Comfort, which means you can expect to see Primary Colours-sponsored shows several times a year, featuring new and upcoming artists.
For April's First Friday, check out work by Corey Jefferson in the alcove and meet the artist.
We’ll be staffed and stocked this and every First Friday, so poke your head in during your gallery rounds, see what we have up our sleeves, and give us your two cents about what we can do for visual arts in Indy.
Finding Us
1) From Virginia Ave: Enter through iMOCA, indySWANK, or Red Lion Grog House (checking out their cool stuff on the way), proceed to the back hall, turn left and go up the stairs. From Prospect St.: Enter through the double doors at the southeast corner of the parking lot and turn right to go up the stairs.
2) From the top of the SE stairs:Turn left and go in the second gallery on your right. Walk all the way to the back. Our office is the last space on the left, set off by curtains. From Big Car Gallery: Go straight out the gallery doors and pass through the next small room. Turn left into the gallery and head straight back to the last space on the left. We’re behind the curtains.
Installation Nation on Hiatus
Another revolution around the sun, and now’s our turn to mix things up. Don’t expect to see Installation Nation this June, but do expect us to continue working on ways to serve you including gallery events and our Professional Development Series this summer.
Got an idea? Drop us a line at info@primarycolours.org. (And don’t worry, we’re keeping Installation Nation in our back pocket for another sunny day.)
Meet PC's New Blood
We're pleased to announce the addition of our newest board members, Carrie Hagans and Chelsea Ernsberger.
You might recognize Carrie from her job as gallery manager of the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art. Chelsea is starting a new gig as program director of the King Park Area Development Corporation.
You'll find profiles of Carrie, Chelsea, and the rest of the PC gang here.
We're always looking for artists and art lovers alike to help run this great organization. If you want to join the grassroots effort, drop us a line at info@primarycolours.org or call us at (317) 721-ARTS. |
