Recycle Your X-mas Tree
The holidays are over, and it's time to settle into the new year. So, it really is time to get rid of that Christmas tree!
We're happy to partner with the Governor Bob Orr Indiana Entrepreneurial Fellowship program and their Tree Luggers fundraiser.
Every Saturday this month, Orr Fellows will be picking up Christmas trees directly from houses and transporting them to nearby Indy Parks locations to be recycled into mulch. Tree Luggers will be servicing neighborhoods on the near north side of Indianapolis, including Meridian-Kessler, Butler-Tarkington, Broad Ripple, Carmel, and Fishers.
Just think: You don’t have to mess with needles and sap in your car, and you can help support two great local organizations!
You can find much more info on our Web site here.
Building on our Momentum
2009 was a tremendous year for Primary Colours. And we're even more excited about the prospects for 2010. We directly helped 197 artists last year, and we certainly want to improve on that number.
We also helped contribute to making Indianapolis a culturally vibrant and exciting city. Please help us in this noble cause.
- You can make a tax-deductible gift online at our Web site via PayPal.
- Or send a check to Primary Colours. 212 W. 10th Street, Suite A380, Indianapolis, IN. 46202.
- If you're on Facebook, you can give securely on our Cause page: Support Primary Colours.
Young Audience Input Needed
We're happy to announce a partnership with consulting firms Achieve and Johnson, Grossnickle & Associates who are helping us survey a segment of our audience members. While we certainly attract a wide audience to our events and workshops, currently we're assessing the needs of our younger supporters in particular.
- If you are between the ages of 20 and 40 and are interested in sharing your thoughts and ideas, please take the survey by clicking here.
- The survey will only take a few minutes, all of your responses are confidential.
- The deadline to take the survey is Friday, Feb. 19.

TOYS Recap
Thanks to all of you who attended our TOYS show on a busy First Friday last month. It truly was a show with chutzpah!
- Here are some pix of the work and those of you who were there.
- Twenty local artists presented their interpretations of the theme "toys," including Mamus, who we profile here.
- You thoughtfully contributed 144 pounds of dry pasta for the good folks at Second Helpings. Awesome job!
- We had a killer spread including mulled wine. Here's the recipe.
- For our show, Matt Sommers composed a song completely from audio samples of children's toys. Listen to and download "mr. doo-bee" here. It's from his album Television.
