They're Ready to Rumble...Are You?

Even we can't believe it. 134 artists put brushes to canvas and painted for 4 hours on Sept. 11 at the Indianapolis City Market. That blows our old record out of the water!

Now, it's your turn. Vote now online for your three favorites. The top 32 vote-getters will compete live at the Art vs. Art Main Event.

The Vogue Theatre serves as the battlefield/auction house on Friday, September 24.

  • Doors open and balloting starts at 8 p.m. with A Squared Industries spinning the tunes.
  • Once we count your ballots and pull the top 16 paintings, emcee Mike Wiltrout starts the show starts at 10.
  • The Naptown Roller Girls will help us bring out the canvases for four rounds of bouts.
  • Indy legends the Zero Boys hit the stage immediately after we crown the new champion with the $4,000 Grand Prize.

Advance sale tickets are just $12 and available at Luna Music (both locations) and The Vogue box office. They're $15 day of show.

Get ready to save some art!

Scion x-CHANGE Update

We reported last month that Scion has selected Primary Colours to participate in its Scion x-CHANGE Fall Tour.

It's all part of an effort to raise money for arts nonprofits across the country in a 30-city tour that matches us with a local artist and a local retail outlet.

The local artist they chose is William Denton Ray, who will be creating original pieces at the event on October 9-10.

We'll find out which local retailer will host the event soon. In the meantime, go to our new Cause page and make your donation to Primary Colours as we support local artists and culture.

We're Online!

Primary Colours is a 501(c)(3) organization devoted to integrating visual artists and the community to create a thriving environment for the arts. Find out more.
