I'm So Mab at Primary Colours!
A Letter of Complaint from Mab Graves
September 2009, after much jibing and peer pressure, I went down to the Stutz building to “waste” my day painting with an inadequate brush set. As a result, Primary Colours (+ the art community) decided to give me a pile of money. It was quite a shock.
For the past two years, I had spent most of my nights painting secretly. Few people knew I was a painter. Even fewer had ever seen a shred of my work.
Well, Primary Colours would have none of that. Without even asking, they ruthlessly pegged me as an "Artist to Watch." It only got worse from there. As of this May, I am officially telling clients that I am booked for 2010. Primary Colours, come on! Do you know that now I actually have to have a website?!?
Thanks to all you jerks, I spend all my free time doing something I adore and making money off of it.
Why, why did you all selfishly have to help me make my dreams come true?
