Is a palette knife included with the brush set? If not, are we allowed to bring one to mix our paint?

A palette knife is not included and not allowed. Sorry. We limit materials in an attempt to provide all artists with a level playing field.

How much paint do we get to work with? Are there refills? Any particular brand/consistency/etc? More white than colors?
And I’m assuming pencils are also not allowed or provided?
Thanks!

Why do you have to be 21 or older to paint? I made it to the top 16 last year and I was only 18.

When we held the Art vs. Art Main Event at the Fountain Square Theatre in years past, the venue could allow 18 and up. The Vogue is a nightclub and subject to patrons 21 and up. Because we’d like the winning artist to be in attendance to receive all the glory of receiving the Grand Prize, we had to raise the entry age. When we considered the change to Broad Ripple, this was definitely one of the arguments against, but last year the Vogue proved to be an outstanding venue to hold the Main Event. We definitely encourage you to paint again when you turn 21…or help get the legal drinking age lowered to 18!

Artists receive acrylic paint in white, black, red, yellow, and blue, as much as you want. We provide pencils and black markers.
